George Huntington had a band called Padre once upon a time; it managed to serve as a catch-all of (and wellspring from which) a large portion of Athens music exports from the mid 2010's: musicians who also comprised or passed thru the ranks of Mothers, Neighbor Lady, Material Girls, The Weeks, all would rehearse on a show-by-show basis to amass a 6-10 member local orchestra to bolster Huntington's somewhat bare folk numbers. He's also somewhat of a marching banana OG - thats his room/dog Georgia on the cover of the Bananagrams Vol. 3 compilation to which he contributed to (as well as Vol. 2).

Same dog but new rooms these days; George has a wife and a garden, works in a shop, still up early everyday plugging in an unforgiving world and South. Nowadays, this exploratory bliss is more like hard-won peace. His work reflects this notion of finding calm amongst clatter, and exploring the infinite possibilities within small spaces & moments.
