about

OTAKU PUNK takes Jacob Chisenhall's (Fake Flowers, Mr. Mustache) displayed knack for effortful, mood-centric arrangement/atmospherics & skews them closer to the goth/postpunk side of the synthpop spectrum this time around.

OPUNK is the dark, grounded contrast to last years debut "STAR TROPICS" - a release that had bubbling dreampop swimming in spades. OPUNK redirects the atmospherics to apply that same chrome sheen to music more driving & more pulsating, it both approach & attitude.

On their second full-length album, Delorean Gray now operates as a full-fledged ensemble, with the addition of composers Freeman Leverett and Jason Bronson as well as the usual gaggle of collaborators from the ATL/Athens area.
