"I Wish I had been Born..." is the sophomore fell-length album from Futo a.k.a. 20-year old bedroom pop home-recordist Patrick Brick. This is a reflective, morbid batch of 9 songs dedicated to blunt, resolute observations about the stark realities of living, loving and inevitably ending.

In a recent interview with the Red & Black, Patrick had this to say about the album's themes :: "I had a friend pass last year and [“I Wish I Had…”] is just a struggle for better permanence,” Brick said.

Far from the surprisingly sunny (in retrospect) outlook of his 2014 debut full-length Dog Dreams, “I Wish I Had Been Born…” returns to tackling heavy, mortal topics with some of the most progressive, spacious and challenging production Futo has put together yet.
