Birthed from the mirth of South Carolina, forged & reformed in Athens, and here for you now in Atlanta 2021:: "FIT PITCHER" is the third album by southeastern stalwarts ART CONTEST. Blending heavily-syncopated chamber pop with venemous jazzpunk fury, Art Contest continues to bring an ensemble's edge to their brainy post-punk.

Helmed by Cole Monroe and backed by Sam Wilson (Fuiste), Jordan Holiman (klark.sound) & Curtis Johnson -- though Shane Perryman played on this album, w/ some parts by Noah Estrella as well -- ART CONTEST in this iteration plays a lean, kinetic foil to Monroe's commanding but intimate vocal performance.

"There is no fluff or space. There are 28 minutes of instruments and a voice," says Monroe of the album's economical approach. "There are no amps and no studios. There is a room and dedicated hands."

"'Fit Pitcher’ is one who pitches a fit, an ideal communicator, or an in-shape sports player. Fit Pitcher is a practice of translating energy into focused expression. It is a celebration of calmness and collection found at the centerpoint of purpose, like an eye of a storm formed at the meeting of its wild arms."

Following 2014's MATH MAJOR and 2017's TWO SONGS, "FIT PITCHER" is once again entirely self-produced/recorded/mixed in-house, a fiercely independent & experimental work that could come only from the hands of its requisite creators. The boys have done it again, and right on time!
