"Perfecto" is the first formal album release from Athens folk pop duo Kissing Booth, featuring writing and performing by Erin Lovett of Four Eyes & Patrick Brick of Futo. Recorded and engineered by Patrick & Erin at The Glow, Cave Sound, and each other's homes. Mixed and mastered by Jesse Mangum at The Glow.

After seven months of silent inactivity (or so it seemed), Kissing Booth has reemerged with its first album-proper, Perfecto. Taken from an interview with Ampersand Magazine:

"Rather than writing songs to each other, the couple assumed the roles of characters in Lovett’s tale of a woman falling for a childhood acquaintance who has returned from Iraq with severe PTSD and anxiety. It’s a harsh lyrical diversion from Kissing Booth’s previous work, but 'Perfecto' retains the personality set by the group’s intimate back catalogue.

“Honestly I think all the songs are paralleled to our own mental states. I think it helped us to write from the perspective of other people, but obviously it’s just our nature to put ourselves into the song,” says Lovett. “But we kind of channeled ourselves through these two characters that don’t exist anywhere except on a word document that’s twelve pages long.”
